K-beauty duos you've never heard one, gut health secrets, and my double life

I was doing everything right. ✔️

The routine so elaborate I had a checklist.
And my skin still looked... the same.
My skin is great, but I wanted better.
Turns out I was missing a few things Korean women use that changed everything. 🤫

This is 40. And a lot of Korean skincare. ✨
Korean women really do know more…
I spent years buying the same kinds of products and getting the same result.
Then I found a few things that Korean women do that actually moved the needle…
And I've been quietly using them ever since. 🤫
Here they are:
1. I stared at the same texture for years... then I tried this 🔬 Okay, I need you to hear me on this one. I had the same skin texture… until I found this PDRN serum and stacked it with this exosome serum. Girl, you should have started this yesterday. I'm on my second bottle and my skin has changed so much.
Tip: Apply the PDRN serum first on slightly damp skin, then layer the exosome serum right on top.
2. My skin was angry at me for years and this is why ✨ If your skin is constantly reactive, try these two before you spend another dollar on treatment products. This beta-glucan serum followed by this hydra zen moisturizer finally calmed mine down and I'm still annoyed nobody told me sooner. Like, genuinely annoyed.
Tip: Use these two right after cleansing, before any actives.
3. I was paying for clinic visits when I could've been doing this 🌊 I'm going to be real with you... I spent so much money at the derm when this spicule mask paired with this bakuchiol serum was sitting right there the whole time. Same microneedling glow, no appointment, no downtime, no bill that makes you want to sit on the floor.
Tip: Do this once a week at night. Apply the serum within 60 seconds of the mask.
4. This is the one I text every girlfriend about ☀️ Every time someone tells me their skin looks tired and dull, I send them these exact two things. this vitamin C booster under this brightening softener…my mom loves this one so much she asks if I have any stock ups. Three weeks and I stopped reaching for as much concealer. Not exaggerating even a little.
Tip: Booster on bare skin first. The softener seals it in and the brightness genuinely lasts all day.
5. Glass skin is not a filter and I can prove it 💧 I used to think glowy dewy skin was genetics or a ring light. It's not. It's this ceramide milk toner patted in on damp skin, followed by this collagen peptide cream. My skin has changed SO much since I started this combo. I've almost stopped wearing foundation entirely and that is not something I say lightly.
Tip: Hands only for the toner, skin needs to be slightly damp.

The stuff no one tells you in your 40s
Nobody told me my gut was basically running my hormones.
Not my doctor. Not the internet. Not anyone.
I had to find that out myself... and once I did, everything started clicking.
Creatine is not just for gym bros 💪 I resisted this for so long because I thought it was a bodybuilder thing. It is not. Better energy, less brain fog, stronger muscles, and early research on hormonal health in your 40s... I love this 100% premium creatine monohydrate supplement… I wish I'd started this years ago.
Tip: Mix 1 scoop into your morning water or smoothie.
Your gut is literally managing your estrogen 🦠 Your gut bacteria process your estrogen for you, which means if your microbiome is off, your hormones are off. This essential & gut duo with pre, pro and postbiotic has been one of the most noticeable shifts I've made... better skin, better gut, less chaos.
Tip: Same time every day, with food.
Better sleep, less muscle tension, calmer hormones 🌙 Girl, you need magnesium. Not magnesium oxide though. That one's basically just a laxative and I learned that the hard way. I’ve been using the mind + muscle powder every night and I fall into a deeper sleep and recover so much quicker. It’s quite honestly amazing.
Tip: Take an hour before bed. You'll notice within a few nights.
Your body needs different food in week three and nobody warns you 🌿 The second two weeks used to feel like unexplained chaos until I realized I was eating the same way all month. More warming foods, root vegetables, and healthy fats in my luteal phase and the cravings and mood swings genuinely eased up.
Tip: extra fiber and vegetables weeks 1-2, root vegetables and healthy fats weeks 3-4.


Morning me uses words like "deliverables." Evening me is delivering snacks in a puffer jacket.
Two completely different people. One body.
I live two completely different lives.
At 9am I'm in a meeting. 💻️
Confident. Respected. Saying things like "let's circle back on that."
At 5:01, I am negotiating a snack crisis.
One minute discussing strategy. The next Googling "is my 5-year-old's temper tantrum normal?" while wondering when was the last time I drank any water.
And then this week... everyone got sick. 🤧
My son dragged a cold home and, like clockwork, it went through every single person in this house.
Including me.
And yet. Breakfast happened. Lunches got made. The meetings still ran. The laundry didn't care that I felt terrible.
I showed up for all of it.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, I fixed a doorknob that was falling off one of my cabinets.
And I felt so much better. Accomplished even.
Not because it fixed anything. Because it was mine.
Somewhere between the strategy decks and the snack negotiations, there has to be a version of me that belongs only to me.
If there's one thing you take away from today...
Find one thing you look forward to doing every day.
Big or small. It doesn't matter.
It just has to be yours.
Something that makes you happy.
That's it. That's the whole thing. 💓
