Korean women fix this. We don't. 👀
The beauty lineup that's making people not believe my age, the 5 pieces my closet has been waiting for, and the question my best friend pulled out of me at dinner.

Hi beautiful, 🌷
I have to tell you something.
It all started last week at dinner with my 3 closest gf’s.
All of us in our 40’s. All of us still 26 in our heads. 😅
Three plates in, one of them set her glass down and asked it.
“Do you feel your age?”
I came home, took my makeup off slow, and stood in front of the mirror honest with myself for the first time in years…
And realized I almost let a dream slip past me forever.
Inside this week:
✨ the beauty lineup making people not believe my age
👗 5 multi-functional pieces my closet has been waiting for
💛 the secret I have kept for 31 years

me at 40 trying not to look 40 😆
People don’t believe my age…
I am 40.
Not 20. Not midlife yet... and I'm still figuring out what 40 even means.
What I do know: I want to look great for my age, and people not believing me is the highest compliment.
Here's the lineup I started doing religiously that actually works:
1. the deeper laser my LED couldn't reach 🔴 I love my red light, but the dark spots and pigmentation from sun damage in my 20s are stubborn in a way LEDs just cannot touch. This 4D laser that goes deeper than any LED reaches the layers my red light can't, and this 35% vitamin C that's actually fading my spots layered right after is a game changer. Tip: I rotate the laser depending on what my skin needs that week.
2. peptides at 40 are non negotiable 🫧 I cannot get away with skipping peptides anymore, my skin is too dry and too sensitive without them. This watermelon cushion cream my barrier was begging for saved my skin, and this Korean toner pad that makes my makeup actually grip and the result is glowing dewy skin. Tip: Let the toner pad dry for 1 minute before applying foundation.
3. soft k-drama hair, finally 🌿 I’ve never used a shampoo and conditioner that actually gave me soft hair, the kind of soft you see on K drama actresses. This Korean shampoo that gave me actual silk hair plus this leave in conditioner my hair drinks up is the first time my strands have felt like silk. Tip: Leave in conditioner on damp ends, and do not rinse.
4. one styler, one trip, the healthiest curl 💛 I went to NYC for a work trip and packed exactly one hair tool. This styler that does my whole head in 8 minutes gave me the healthiest curl, and at home this infrared dryer that's saving my hair is what I swear by because infrared means way less damage. Tip: Always reach for infrared if you can, your hair will be healthier for it.
5. Korean women have a neck secret 👀 My face was looking 30 and my neck was still aging me in one glance, and Korean women have apparently been onto this for years. This do-it-all neck cream is what my mom’s friends are using that's fading crepiness plus this advanced sculpting neck mask that tightens sagging jowls. Tip: Do this 3x a week to prevent turkey neck!

The pieces my closet’s been waiting for…
My skincare got an overhaul this year, and so did my closet.
These are the pieces I keep reaching for, and the ones I'm planning my next trips around.
1. my carry on is finally cute 🧳 My routine refused to fit in any travel bag I owned. These beautiful jade jars take up no space and snap into these magnetic travel cases and pack my whole routine without spilling. I am over makeup explosions that ruin all my clothing when I travel! I’m never going back.
2. the top I keep reaching for 🌸 I wanted to look pulled together without trying. This delicate feminine top in the prettiest color does it every single time. High waisted denim, gold hoops, flats. So elevated and effortless.
3. the readers people actually compliment 👓 My old glasses made me look tired. These editor style readers make you look like a chic reader doing it in style. Low ponytail, bold lip, done.
4. the sunnies I'm wearing on and off the court 🎾 I wanted tennis sunnies that did not make me look sporty. These obsession worthy polarized sunnies are exactly that, and I'm wearing them off the court too. Polarized matters in afternoon glare.
5. the dress I cannot stop thinking about 🌷 We're planning a Portugal trip and I needed something that flatters my midsection. This Lela cinching dress with the prettiest flow is the one I keep eyeing. Neutral sandals, long necklace, dinner ready.

You know the dream you don't say out loud? ☁️
The secret I’ve kept for 31 years…
There's a thing I've wanted since I was nine. 🧒
I've never said it out loud.
Not to my closest friends.
It's the kind of dream you carry so long it just becomes a shape in your chest.
I am a stay quiet, let the work speak kind of girl. 🤫
Because if you don't say it out loud, you can't fail at it.
You can't be the one who tried and didn't make it.
So I just kept it folded up small.
Then I thought to myself…
“Is this it?“
I came home and looked in the mirror… 🪞
There is more to me.
A thing I've been carrying since I was nine, and I am finally moving toward it.
Slowly. Around the edges of marriage, kids, and the career I spent a decade building.
The part that scares me?
Looking back at 80 and realizing I was still young at 40. Still had the energy. Still had the time.
And I let it slip.
So if you have been carrying something quiet too or had a dream you put on hold for a later date, this is your sign.
Go for it. Chase the dream. Don’t wait.
Move toward it.
Even an inch.
Because you never know where it’ll take you. 💭
